Published on September 22, 2019, Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left fuming after the team's 2-1 loss to Leicester in a league match on Saturday.

Victor Wanyama, the Harambee Stars captain, made his first appearance of the season in the game, but his performance was far from impressive, sparking criticism from a section of the club's fans.

On social media, fans expressed their disappointment and frustration with Wanyama's performance, with some even calling for him to quit playing active soccer.

“Wanyama had a shocker. But the biggest shocker is how he’s still at the club,” posted David Ellis on Twitter.

Wanyama has been struggling with niggling injuries over the past two seasons, which has affected his form and limited his playing time for both club and country.

His coach, Mauricio Pochettino, has even suggested that Wanyama's form is so poor that he can only give him playtime as some form of charity.
