Consolata School's Dark Past: A Family's Unending Pain ¶
On July 7, 2015, the life of Austin Jack Dianga, a 17-year-old student at Consolata School, came to a tragic end. Four years later, a viral video of a Consolata School student spewing slurs and threatening to eliminate a colleague has reopened wounds for the family of the deceased student.
Mr. and Mrs. Dianga, Austin's parents, cringed with pain as they watched the video, which signified the level of indiscipline and rot at the once prestigious school. They had lost their only son, and the pain still lingered.
According to Mrs. Dianga, Austin had battled sickle cell anaemia from a young age and had been declared out of danger at 16. He was a bright student, always among the top three in class, and had aspirations to become a paediatrician.
However, on the fateful day of his death, Austin was pushed by a classmate, and the school later backtracked on this testimony. The school and witnesses recanted their statements, maintaining that they found Austin unconscious after falling from the first floor.
The couple was left with more questions than answers, and the pain of losing their son still lingered. They called on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to unravel the mystery of Austin's death.
As they watched the viral video, Mrs. Dianga couldn't help but think that another Austin could die at the school, and the school would get away with it, just like in their case.
