On September 22, 2019, Kenesha Antoine's life took a devastating turn when her fiancé Steven Weber Jr. drowned after proposing to her underwater while on vacation in Tanzania.
Steven and Kenesha had been enjoying their time in Tanzania, visiting various places and sharing photos of their experiences on social media. The couple's love and happiness were palpable, and their friends and family were overjoyed to see them so in love.
However, tragedy struck when Steven proposed to Kenesha underwater. Despite the romantic gesture, the proposal turned into a nightmare when Steven drowned. Kenesha was left heartbroken, and her friends and family were left to pick up the pieces.
In a tearful tribute, Kenesha shared her feelings about the loss of her beloved fiancé. She wrote, 'You never emerged from those depths, so you never got to hear my answer, “Yes! Yes! A million times, yes, I will marry you!!”'
She continued, 'We never got to embrace and celebrate the beginning of the rest of our lives together, as the best day of our lives turned into the worst, in the cruelest twist of fate imaginable.'
Friends and family members took to social media to offer their condolences to Kenesha and Steven's loved ones. Annie LeBlanc-Young wrote, 'Wow.. words can’t begin to express how I feel right now. Please allow GOD to comfort you. Prayers are going out n up for both families.'
Jennifer Blackard Cabrera added, 'Every time I saw a picture of you two I smiled, because you always looked so full of joy. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain that you are suffering Kenesha and I am so very sorry! Praying for you and everyone that loved Steven.'
