On September 22, 2019, the burial plans for slain Dutch tycoon Tob Cohen were revealed, shedding light on the private Jewish ceremony that will take place on September 23.
According to Cohen's will, his remains will be laid to rest at the Jewish cemetery along Wangari Maathai Road, where he had previously marked the exact spot for his interment in accordance with Jewish customs and traditions.
The ceremony will be private, attended by Cohen's racial kin and a few close friends, and will not include a viewing of the body or the opening of the casket. Instead, the body will be wrapped in white clothing and buried without a suit.
However, the attendance of Cohen's widow, Sarah Wairimu Kamotho, remains uncertain, as her application to witness her husband's final journey is still pending a court hearing on the same day of the burial.
Through her lawyer Philip Murgor, Sarah requested the court to issue an order to allow her to attend the burial at 1:30 pm, but the outcome of this request remains to be seen.
