Nzoia Sugar Clinches First Win of the Season, AFC Leopards and Mathare United Also Triumph

On Saturday, Nzoia Sugar climbed to third place in the Kenyan Premier League standings after securing their first win of the season with a 2-0 victory over Kisumu All Stars at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu.

Leonard Kasembeli and Collins Wakhungu scored crucial goals for Nzoia Sugar, with Kasembeli netting in the 5th minute and Wakhungu adding the second goal just two minutes into the second half.

Meanwhile, at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega, AFC Leopards collected their first maximum points of the season after defeating Wazito FC 1-0 thanks to John Makwatta's second-half penalty.

Clifford Alwanga's late strike gave Mathare United a 2-1 win over Ulinzi Stars at the Kasarani Stadium, with George Owino's own goal putting Mathare United 1-0 up before Daniel Waweru equalized and Alwanga sealed the win with minutes left on the clock.
