Westgate Attack: Remembering the Victims

It's been six years since the Westgate mall in Nairobi was attacked by Al Shaabab militia group on September 21, 2013.

The attack resulted in the loss of 70 lives and left hundreds of others seriously wounded.

Among the victims were children who were at a cooking competition, business owners, supermarket and restaurant employees, bank workers, drivers, and other workers in different offices within the mall.

On January 14 this year, a court ruled that three out of four suspects linked to the Westgate attack would have a case to answer.

The three suspects are Ahmed Abdi, Liban Abdullah, and Hussein Mustafa, while the freed suspect is Adnan Ibrahim.
