Mudavadi Slams Mariga's Kibra By-Election Bid ¶
ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi has dismissed McDonald Mariga's bid to contest the Kibra by-election, calling him a reckless parachutist who will be rejected by voters.
Speaking in Kibra, Mudavadi said Mariga's decision to contest the by-election was a sign of desperation and a lack of confidence in his own abilities.
Mariga, who was endorsed by President Uhuru Kenyatta, has been accused of being a 'parachutist' who is not familiar with the Kibra constituency.
According to Mudavadi, Mariga's chances of winning the by-election are slim, and he will be rejected by voters who are looking for a candidate with a strong track record in the area.
Mariga has been accused of being a 'stranger' in Kibra, and Mudavadi said that he will not be able to connect with the voters in the constituency.
On the other hand, ANC's Eliud Owalo has been endorsed by Mudavadi and is seen as a strong contender in the by-election.
Owalo has promised to invest billions of shillings in the Kibra constituency, focusing on sectors such as water, education, and infrastructure.
The by-election is scheduled to take place on November 7, and it is expected to be a closely contested race between Mariga, Owalo, and Imran Okoth of ODM.
