Published on September 21, 2019, Ugandan international Shafik Batambuze is appealing for financial help to undergo a surgery on his nagging knee injury, sustained during the CAF Champions League match against Burundian side Aigle Noir.
Batambuze, who joined Gor Mahia at the start of the 2018/19 season, requires Sh400,000 to cater for the medical bill.
According to the left back, he spoke to the chairman of Gor Mahia FC, but the club does not have the money at the moment.
"I spoke to the chairman but club (Gor Mahia FC) doesn’t have the money at the moment," Batambuze said in an audio appeal to his fans.
He added, "Just give them this number, not the one on WhatsApp which is my personal line and they will disturb me."
