On September 21, 2019, a bizarre incident occurred in Maji Mazuri village, Lugari sub-county, Kakamega county, after a neighbor gave a chicken a funeral.
Joseph Victor Omulai, the owner of the chicken, expressed his deep sorrow and regret over the loss of his beloved pet.
According to Omulai, he had purchased seven chickens, but only one remained after the neighbor killed it.
He revealed that the chicken had laid 12 eggs, and he was eagerly waiting for them to hatch, but unfortunately, the neighbor's actions led to the chicken's demise.
As Omulai spoke to TUKO.co.ke, he broke down in tears, saying, 'I bought seven chickens, and others were taken, leaving me with this one, which is now deceased. It had 12 eggs, and I was waiting for them to hatch, but unfortunately, someone killed it.'
He added that he had fed the chicken earlier in the day before leaving to buy bread, but upon his return, he found the chicken dead.
As he mourned the loss of his pet, Omulai said, 'It's a tragedy, my friend, I cannot believe my friend is dead.'
