September 21, 2019, marked the one-year anniversary of Bongo Flava star Ali Kiba and his Kenyan wife, Amina Khalef. However, their celebration was marred by rumors of a nasty divorce.
The couple's marriage, once a bed of roses, has turned sour, with sources citing a rift between Amina and her mother-in-law as the reason for the alleged divorce.
Ali Kiba refuted the rumors on Ala za Roho, a Clouds FM show, stating that his wife had gone to Mombasa on an arrangement they had agreed upon.
He explained that his wife wanted to work and was well-educated, so he didn't see the need to block her path. As a singer and performer, Kiba is often on the road for extended periods, leaving his wife lonely at home.
However, Kiba failed to clarify how long his wife would be away from their matrimonial home in Dar es Salaam.
Despite the rocky patch in their marriage, Kiba emphasized that marriage is a gift from God and advised those celebrating their breakup to respect the institution.
His wife, Amina, also responded to the allegations, posting on social media that they were still in love and raising their child in harmony.
She wrote, 'Sura na baraka zake ndoa ya haki Allah shahid tumapendana na kulea mtoto wetu. Maneno yao yamegonga mwamba sisi twapendana daima. I love All Penzi lingali hai sanaaa bby @officialalikiba na My son @officialkeyaan.'
