September 21, 2019, marked a new twist in the Tob Cohen murder case as his widow, Sarah Wairimu, announced her intention to fight for a share of her late husband's estate.

Wairimu, through her lawyer, has maintained that she and Cohen jointly built their multi-million empire, including a multi-million estate in Kitisuru.

However, Cohen's will, which left his estates and money in the bank to his sister Gabrielle van Straten and his nephews and nieces, excludes Wairimu entirely.

Wairimu claims that the will was doctored and that she has an affidavit signed in 2007, which shows that Cohen gave her an equal share of the matrimonial home in Kitusuru by virtue of their marriage.

Her lawyer stated, 'All I can say and I had this from yesterday, is that if there is an attempt to interfere with her property rights in her matrimonial, home or even in the company, she will fight in court all the way to Supreme Court. Even if Cohen was to give out his claim over the property, Wairimu’s would still remain with 50%.'
