On September 20, 2019, the will of Tob Cohen, a Dutch tycoon who was murdered in Nairobi, was opened, revealing that his widow, Sarah Wairimu, would not receive anything from his vast estate.

The estate, valued at approximately Sh700 million, included a home in Kitusuru, cash, and shareholding in his companies. According to the will, 50% of the estate was left to Cohen's sister, Gabriel Van Straten, and the remaining 50% was split equally between his brother Bernard's two children.

Additionally, Cohen's bank account balances were left to his family members, with Sh100 million going to his sister and Sh50 million to his brother.

As per Jewish traditions, Cohen ordered his family to bury him.

Wairimu's lawyer, Philip Murgor, has stated that he will contest the will in court, alleging that it had been compromised.

However, Chege Kirundi, a lawyer representing the will's custodians, has refuted these claims, stating that a lawyer is free to open the will after a postmortem has been conducted.
