Published on September 21, 2019, the University of Nairobi's (UON) Dynamites are set to face off against the United States International University of Africa (USIU-A) Flames in a highly anticipated Kenya Basketball Federation Women's Premier League match.
The Dynamites will be looking to consolidate their place in the top eight and secure a play-offs slot, while also seeking to complete a double against the former Premier League champions.
Having secured a 49-44 win over Strathmore University Swords last weekend, the UON team is confident in their abilities and is looking to increase their chances of a top five finish in the regular season.
Coach Juma Kent emphasized the importance of a win against USIU-A, stating, "So far so good, the girls have done well being their first time at this level of competition and all we need is to keep up the fighting spirit."
He also expressed optimism about the team's chances of a top five finish, saying, "We have high chances of a top five finish and the girls know they have to keep winning to seal their place in the play-offs."
Meanwhile, Western Delight will host Africa Nazarene University in Kakamega, while former champions Kenya Ports Authority will face off against the same opponents today and tomorrow.
