On September 20, 2019, the Communications Authority of Kenya fined Pastor Ng'ang'a Ksh 1 million for exposing a church member's breasts during a live TV service.
The incident occurred during a prayer session for the woman's healing from cancer, which was aired on national television. Pastor Ng'ang'a claimed the act was 'deliverance', but the Communications Authority deemed it a violation of their rules and regulations.
According to the Director of Public Affairs Chris Wambua, the televangelist was fined because the session was aired on live TV, which is against the Communications Authority's rules.
Pastor Ng'ang'a has since lodged an appeal against the fine and defended his actions in a video that has been circulating on social media.
He claimed, 'Hata juzi nimeshtakiwa ati nimeoneshana matiti, sasa matiti mimi sikujua kama ilikuwa imetoka maana sio yangu. Sasa mimi niliwaambia mimi sijui, nafanya deliverance. Nikaambiwa nitalipa milioni moja nikakata appeal sijui kama nitapewa. Wamesema nimeonesha matiti ya mwanamke masaa ambayo sio,'
He further added, 'Sasa mimi najuaje matiti ziko nje, na watu wa Turkana nikienda huko itakuwaje. You know the people who form the constitution hawakuita deliverance ministry waangalie hizo vipengele. Kama mtu akilipuka na yuko mbele ya camera.'
