Published on September 20, 2019, the Kenya Premier League title continues to be a closely contested affair, with several teams vying for the top spot. This weekend, some of the hottest fixtures in the league will take place, with teams like Gor Mahia, KCB, and Bandari looking to make their mark.

At the top of the table, Gor Mahia will be looking to avenge their 4-1 continental loss on the bankers when they welcome KCB at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. KCB, on the other hand, bolstered their squad prior to the beginning of the season and started the season on a high but failed to impress in game week 2.

Another highly anticipated fixture this weekend is the clash between Sony Sugar and Bandari FC at the Kericho Green Stadium. Sony Sugar bounced back in the second gameweek to win 2-1 against Nzoia Sugar, and they will be on a mission to stop Bandari on their tracks to dethrone Gor Mahia of the title. Bandari, however, is a talented side and also title contenders after having a good run last season.

The Western Derby at the Moi Stadium Kisumu this Saturday will see Kisumu All Stars take on Nzoia Sugar. Both sides are yet to register a win, and it will be a fight to the neck between the two sides. A win for either side will set the pace running for more impressive performances.

Other fixtures to look out for this weekend include the clash between Kakamega Homeboyz and Kariobangi Sharks, and the match between AFC Leopards and Wazito FC. Both teams have been tipped to cause real problems at the KPL, but they have yet to live up to fans' expectations.
