On September 20, 2019, in Nairobi, Cliff Ombeta, a lawyer representing the estate of late billionaire Tob Cohen, clashed with Philip Murgor, a lawyer for Cohen's widow Sarah Wairimu, over the authenticity of Cohen's will.

According to Ombeta, Murgor had tampered with the will by changing the name of the lawyer, Chege Kirundi, who had prepared the document.

Ombeta demanded that Murgor use proper procedures to investigate the authenticity of the will if he had any doubts.

"He is trying to sabotage the process to cover up something," Ombeta said.

"This is now open; the will is sealed and has no issues," Ombeta added.

Wairimu, who is a suspect in Cohen's murder, refused to attend the opening of the will, claiming it had been tampered with.

According to a report in a local newspaper, Cohen had given his sister, Gabrielle Van Straten, a KSh 400m house through the will, which led Wairimu to question the document's authenticity.

Cohen's funeral will be held on September 23, 2019, at the Wangari Maathai Street, Nairobi, following Jewish customs, and will be attended by close friends and family.
