On September 20, 2019, hundreds of revellers gathered at Blackyz Lounge in Hurlingham, Nairobi, to celebrate the annual Jack Daniel's Birthday.
The event featured a range of Jack Daniel's favourites, including Tennessee Honey Whiskey, Old No. 7, Single Barrel Select, Gentleman Jack, and the new Tennessee Fire.
According to Zara Kuria, Jack Daniel's Kenya Brand Manager, who attended the event, 'We are proud to join the world in celebrating Jack Daniel's birthday and as a brand, we're using this opportunity to interact with our brand consumers who are globally referred to as Jack and friends, in different establishments in Nairobi.'
Some of the participating establishments included DejaVu, Mercury Lounge, Jiweke Tavern, Blend, Milan, Curries Bar and Restaurant, and Brew Bistro, where a brunch was scheduled for September 28.
Jack Daniel's birthday is celebrated throughout the month of September, as the exact date of the founder's birth is unknown, having been destroyed in a town fire over 150 years ago.
