Stanley Irungu Arrested for Stealing KSh 39,000 Used on MPesa

On June 22, this year, a shocking incident occurred in Umoja area, Nairobi, where a suspect allegedly stole KSh 39,000 used on MPesa.

According to the charges, the suspect, Stanley Irungu, was accused of stealing KSh 39,000 used on his phone.

It is alleged that Irungu received KSh 60,000, as reported by Citizen TV.

On September 19, Atieno informed the court that he had called Safaricom customer care to seek assistance in retrieving the stolen money, but was informed that Irungu had a balance of KSh 21,000 on his phone.

Irungu was released on a KSh 20,000 bond after admitting to the offense and stating that he was ready to repay Atieno the stolen money.

The case will be mentioned again on October 1, 2019.
