On September 20, 2019, Sarah Wairimu's lawyer, Philip Murgor, petitioned the High Court to allow his client to attend the funeral of her husband, Tob Cohen, at the Jewish cemetery in Nairobi.
Murgor argued that Sarah had the right to attend the funeral as she had not been found guilty of any crime.
However, the court denied the request, and Sarah was not allowed to attend the funeral.
According to K24 TV, the court's decision was made by Jane Kamau, who stated that she did not have the authority to grant Sarah permission to attend the funeral.
Jane Kamau explained that she had to consult with the Chief Justice, Ngenye Macharia, but he was not available as he had already left the office.
As a result, Sarah was not allowed to attend the funeral, and it is possible that she was kept outside the cemetery.
