On September 19, 2019, Paula Leca revealed her identity as one of the three McDonald's workers who offered Cristiano Ronaldo burgers when he was a youngster.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner had been searching for Edna and the other two workers during an interview with Piers Morgan on ITV earlier in the week.
According to Leca, she and her colleagues would often give away leftover hamburgers to hungry footballers, including Ronaldo, who was 'perhaps the most timid of them all.'
She recalled how Ronaldo and his teammates would visit the McDonald's outlet near Sporting Lisbon's stadium almost every night, and how she had already told her son about the encounter, but he thought it was a fib.
When asked if she would accept Ronaldo's dinner invitation, Leca replied, 'If he invited me out for dinner, I'd go for sure. The first thing I'd do would be to say thank you and during the meal we would have time to remember those times.'
