On September 20, 2019, Kamene Goro, a popular radio presenter, shared a personal story about being kicked out of parliament premises during her breakfast show at Kiss 100.

At the time, Goro was working as a news anchor and reporter at Ebru TV and had visited Parliament on an official assignment.

She recalled how security guards stopped her at the gate, claiming her skirt was too short, despite it being knee-length.

Goro felt intimidated and embarrassed by the security guards' behavior and chose to walk away.

Her confession comes after singer Akothee was forced to wear a leso in parliament to cover her thighs, which some deemed a distraction.
