Published on September 20, 2019, a question on Quora asking if Kenya has internet sparked a lively debate among users.
Quora is a question-and-answer website where users can ask and answer questions, either factually or in the form of opinions.
Eric Mutema responded with a humorous answer, saying that he was currently in Kenya and that his treehouse had no internet. He joked that if his neighbors in the forest or the 'posh bourgeoisie idiots' in the caves had internet, he would have known through the daily smoke signals sent out by the chief's son.
Another user, Allan Kamaliki, also responded with a humorous answer, saying that Kenya did not have internet and that smoke was the most efficient mode of communication in the country.
However, not all users were joking. Vinnie Gems provided a more accurate answer, saying that Kenya had a great internet connection and that most citizens accessed the internet using their mobile phones.
Other users, such as Peter Njuguna and Oscar Kibet, also provided accurate information, saying that Kenya had fast mobile internet speeds and good broadband coverage.
