Published on September 20, 2019, a DNA test dispute has emerged in the estate of the late Ken Okoth, a former Kibra MP.

Monica Okoth, Ken's wife, has presented DNA results that contradict earlier court-confirmed results showing that the late lawmaker had a son with MCA Anne Thumbi.

Monica Okoth sought more time to present her DNA results in court, but MCA Thumbi has objected, stating that the matter was settled when she filed DNA results showing a 99.99% match.

The Magistrate's Court had ordered a DNA test after the child and her mother were excluded from Ken Okoth's cremation, as his family refused to acknowledge them as part of the family.

Ken Okoth's family is set to receive Sh32 million from Parliament, including his group life insurance cover and death gratuity, but the process is on hold until the courts indicate the administrator of his estate.
