On September 20, 2019, Ghanaian football legend Asamoah Gyan made a significant move to the Indian Super League, signing with NorthEast United. The 33-year-old forward left Turkish Super Lig side Kayserispor after his contract expired on July 1, 2019.
With this transfer, Gyan becomes the 10th club in his illustrious career, further expanding his football horizons in the subcontinent.
