At the ongoing FIVB World Cup in Japan, Kenya's national women's volleyball team, Malkia Strikers, faced a tough challenge against Argentina on September 19, 2019.

Coach Paul Bitok expressed his disappointment with the team's performance, stating that they did not play well, especially in attack and ball reception.

Bitok explained that the team had planned to change their system to play faster, but unfortunately, they were unable to contain the pressure from Argentina due to the few mistakes made by the opposing team.

He emphasized the importance of learning from their mistakes and adapting to the fast-paced game of Asian teams, including Korea, China, and Japan, which they will face in the upcoming matches.

Malkia Strikers captain Mercy Moim also acknowledged the team's poor performance, attributing it to their inability to play consistently against both strong and average teams.

Moim identified areas for improvement, including reception and blocks, and emphasized the need for the team to play like they practice.
