On September 20, 2019, an autopsy was conducted on the body of Tob Cohen, a Dutch tycoon who was found dead in an underground water tank at his home in Nairobi's Kitisuru estate.
According to the autopsy results, Cohen's killers subjected him to an extremely painful death, crashing his skull, dislocating one of his legs, and breaking his hands, as reported by the Algemeen Dagblad (AD).
DNA materials collected from Cohen's fingers and under his fingernails are expected to provide crucial leads in identifying the people behind the gruesome killing.
Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti described the murder as 'horrible', stating that Cohen's hands, feet, and neck were tied before he was killed.
A postmortem examination was conducted at Chiromo Mortuary in the presence of Cohen's widow, Sarah Wairimu, his sister, Gabrielle Cohen, the investigating officer, and other family members.
Wairimu, the main suspect in her husband's murder, was escorted to the facility under tight security for the postmortem and is set to undergo a mental assessment before pleading to murder charges next week.
