On September 20, 2017, Sarah Hyland's life was forever changed when her brother Ian donated his kidney to her in a selfless act of love.

Two years later, Sarah took to Instagram to express her gratitude to her brother, thanking him for the 'gift of life' and for everything else he does for her.

"2 years ago today my precious little brother gave me the gift of life. Thank you for not only giving me your fcking kidney but for everything else you do. I love you so much @thehotterhyland ❤️ happy Kidneyversary!!!!" she captioned the photo.

With a condition called kidney dysplasia, Sarah was born with kidneys that didn't fully form in the womb. This led to 16 surgeries throughout her lifetime, including two kidney transplants - one from her father in 2012 and the other from her brother in 2017.

Throughout her ongoing health struggles, Sarah has been an open book, routinely showing off her scars and not hiding her KUPA. Her latest kidneyversary post continues to inspire her followers to celebrate all of life's moments.
