On September 19, 2019, Arsenal's youngsters made a statement in the Europa League, as they stunned hosts Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 in their Group F opener.

Joe Willock's first-half strike and a goal each by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were enough to set off Arsenal on a flying start in the competition.

Both sides were making a return to the second-tier European tournament after failing to seal a Champions League place in the 2018/19 campaign.

Unai Emery made a couple of changes for the Germany trip from the side that drew 2-2 with Watford last weekend, with youngsters Joe Willock, Bukayo Saka, and Emile Smith Rowe all starting.

The youngsters repaid the faith at Commerzbank-Arena, as Saka and Willock combined perfectly to score Arsenal's opener in the 38th minute.

Frankfurt however plummeted following Kohr's red card in the 79th minute, who was handed marching orders after picking up two yellow cards.

Aubameyang made up for his mistake in the 87th minute, extending Arsenal's lead just two minutes after Saka's stunner.

The Gunners' comfortable win now has them sitting on the summit of Group F, above Standard Liege who also beat Vitoria de Guimaraes in another group fixture.
