On September 19, 2019, DCI officers in Nairobi's Kamukunji area arrested three individuals for repackaging expired rice.
During the operation, the officers seized over 1,500 packets of expired rice.
The arrested individuals, Abdikafi Ahmed, Abdirizack Ahmed, and Liban Ahmed Abdille, were found using a lorry to transport the expired rice.
According to a statement by the DCI, the arrested individuals were found repackaging expired rice in the Kamukunji area.
"Washukiwa watatu wamekamatwa na maafisa wa polisi wakipakia mchele uliooza katika eneo la Kamukunji. Washukiwa walipatikana na lori na bidhaa nyingine ambazo zinazuiliwa na polisi," DCI stated.
