On Thursday, a multi-agency team in Nairobi made a significant breakthrough in the fight against corruption by arresting three suspects found repackaging expired rice in Kamukunji.
The suspects, identified as Abdikafi Ahmed, Abdirizack Ahmed, and Liban Ahmed Abdille, were caught with over 1,550 kg of assorted rice brands.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, the rice has been confiscated alongside a lorry and other items.
“THREE SUSPECTS found repackaging expired rice were today arrested by a Multi-Agency team and over 1500 bags of Assorted Rice brands confiscated in Kamukunji. A lorry and other items also confiscated,” wrote DCI on Twitter.
