On September 3, a disturbing incident occurred at a house in Nairobi's Jericho estate, where a young man allegedly killed his mother's chickens and caused a commotion.
According to the police, Isaac Maina Nyambura committed the offence at his mother's house, sparking a heated argument over a dozen eggs.
Prosecutors claim that Maina threatened his mother, stating that he would harm her if his request was not granted. In a fit of rage, he allegedly hit two chickens, killing them instantly.
Isaac Maina Nyambura denied the charges and was released on a Sh10,000 cash bail. The matter will be heard in court on January 16, 2020.
