On September 19, 2019, a shocking video of a Consolata School pupil went viral, sparking widespread concern among Kenyans. The pupil's foul-mouthed rant left many questioning the kind of content children are exposed to.

However, thanks to the intervention of Ezekiel Mutua, the CEO of Kenya Film and Classification Board (KFCB), the pupil and his cousin are now receiving support and counseling to deal with their emotions.

According to Dr. Mutua, the parents of the child reached out to him and other government agencies seeking guidance on how to handle the situation. Initially, the plan was to subject the minors to police interrogation, but Dr. Mutua overruled this, citing the need to protect their privacy.

"The matter was brought to our attention and we launched investigations. I have been in touch with the parents of both sides and the different government agencies to see how we can handle this issue. Initially, the approach of the police was interrogation, but we said no. These are minors, we first need to protect their privacy," Dr. Mutua explained.

Dr. Mutua emphasized that the incident highlights the need for parents and adults to be aware of the kind of content their children consume and to support the work of KFCB in regulating content distribution.
