Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has been at the center of corruption allegations, but he's not letting that rattle him. In a recent Facebook post, he confidently declared, 'To my critics who think I fear being arrested. No. No. No. No. No. No.'

His statement comes as anti-corruption sleuths continue to investigate him, with some speculating that he could be arrested soon. Sonko has already recorded statements with the investigators twice in the past month.

However, Sonko's disappearance from the public eye for a week has only added to the speculation. He resurfaced on Thursday, claiming that he's still very much in charge of the county affairs, wherever he is.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his deputy, Sonko insists that he's firmly in charge. 'As the elected Governor of this great city, I remain very much in charge and I am actively overseeing the day to day running of the Nairobi City County affairs,' he said.

However, the law is unclear on who should run a County government in the absence of a governor and his deputy. This has raised concerns about a potential constitutional crisis if Sonko were to be arrested or absent from office.
