On September 19, 2019, the family of Dutch businessman Tob Cohen announced that his burial had been delayed from Thursday to Monday.

Lawyers representing both Cohen's family and his widow agreed on the new burial date and venue, with Cohen's remains to be interred at a Jewish cemetery in Nairobi in a private ceremony on Monday afternoon at 2pm.

According to Cohen's family lawyer Cliff Ombeta and his widow's lawyer Philip Murgor, Cohen's sister Gabriel and his daughter Sarah will participate in the event.

The burial rites will be conducted in accordance with Jewish rites by the concerned community leaders, with authorities requested to facilitate the arrangement to ensure a dignified send-off for the late Cohen.

The body of the tycoon was found in a septic tank at his Kitusuru home, and the public will have to wait a little longer for the final autopsy report on his body due to a court order that bars three pathologists from sharing details of their findings outside court.
