On September 17, 2019, Inter Milan drew 1-1 with Slavia Prague in a Champions League Group F match at San Siro. The Italian giants struggled to create scoring opportunities throughout the game, and had to rally from behind to secure a point.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Romelu Lukaku clashed with teammate Marcelo Brozovic in the dressing room after the match. Lukaku had given a pep talk to his teammates, urging them to play with a more attack-minded attitude to integrate with manager Antonio Conte's tactical plan.
However, Brozovic inferred that some of Lukaku's criticism was aimed at him and squared up to the former United attacker. The pair exchanged unpleasantries and nearly exchanged blows before teammates intervened.
Inter's poor performance on the night is said to have escalated off the pitch, with the dressing room incident highlighting the tension within the team.
