Published on September 19, 2019, Millie Odhiambo, the Suba North Member of Parliament, opened up about her painful experience with doctors who accused her of abortions at a young age.

Speaking on Citizen TV's JKL live, Millie explained that she had been suffering from severe cramps and blood loss during her menses period, which led to her being admitted to hospitals every month.

Despite visiting several hospitals, the doctors could not provide her with a clear diagnosis apart from detecting a mass. It was not until she went to school in New York City that she discovered she had fibroids.

Millie recalled that her condition was mistaken for pregnancy termination, and she was further embarrassed when another doctor claimed that her condition was caused by a sexually transmitted disease (STD).

Millie's painful experience serves as a reminder of the importance of proper medical diagnosis and the need to treat patients with dignity and respect.
