Club Brugge and Galatasaray kicked off their Champions League Group A campaign with a goalless draw at the Jan Breydelstadion on Wednesday, September 18, 2019.
The match was marked by both teams hitting the woodwork, with Brugge's Federico Ricca striking the crossbar in the first half and Galatasaray's Sofiane Feghouli brushing the top of the bar on the hour.
Brugge was also denied a late penalty after a VAR review for a possible Marcao handball three minutes from time.
The stalemate sets the stage for the much-awaited clash between Paris St Germain and Real Madrid in the same group, with Galatasaray set to host PSG and Brugge traveling to Real Madrid on October 1.
