On September 18, 2019, the postmortem of Dutch tycoon Tob Cohen was scheduled to take place at Chiromo Mortuary. The autopsy was intended to establish the cause of his death, which had been described as 'slow, calculated, and gruesome' by DCI boss George Kinoti.
However, the postmortem was postponed and rescheduled for today. Sarah Wairimu Cohen, Tob's wife, arrived at the mortuary accompanied by her lawyer, Philip Murgor.
According to Murgor, the couple had requested a pre-postmortem x-ray to be conducted to ensure that any injuries to the body were easily noticeable. Murgor stated, 'It'll make the postmortem easy without some kind of guesswork.'
Despite the fact that Sarah had hired her own pathologist to be present during the postmortem, Murgor argued that the postmortem should be conducted without her presence. However, Sarah was present at the mortuary, accompanied by her lawyer and Tob's sister, Gabrielle Van Starten.
The body of Tob Cohen, a 69-year-old Dutch tycoon and top golfer, was found in a septic tank in a home in Kitisuru on July 19, 2019. The couple was embroiled in a bitter divorce case over property worth hundreds of millions of shillings.
