Kenyan billionaire Chris Kirubi has spoken candidly about his battle with cancer, revealing that his initial diagnosis was made in error. In a video, Mr. Kirubi recounted the events that led to his diagnosis in 2018, when he was rushed to Nairobi Hospital after complaining of a fever.
According to Mr. Kirubi, his doctor visited him at his Kitisuru home and, after conducting tests, informed him that he had stage two cancer affecting his internal organs, including the lungs and kidneys. He was subsequently flown to Boston, USA, for further treatment.
Mr. Kirubi's journey was marked by pain, uncertainty, and strong medication. However, he never lost faith and continued to receive treatment, which eventually led to his recovery. He has since returned home and continues to undergo treatment, with restricted visitors due to his low immunity.
Mr. Kirubi has urged Kenyans to prioritize regular medical examinations, emphasizing that cancer is treatable and curable. He also encouraged those battling cancer to maintain a positive attitude and seek treatment.
