Published on September 16, 2019, a woman named Hanifa has come forward with allegations that Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip impregnated her and then dumped her.
According to Hanifa, she met the senator through Facebook after he offered to help her with some money. She claimed that the senator texted her on Facebook messenger and they eventually video-chatted, confirming his identity.
Hanifa revealed that she spent time at the senator's home near Thika Road Mall, marking the beginning of her alleged relationship with him. However, she claimed that the senator tricked her into leaving his home and was forced to leave for Mombasa immediately.
It was while in Mombasa that Hanifa realized she was pregnant for the senator, whom she duly informed. However, Anwar turned hostile, threatened her life, and even told her to keep off from him and his family.
Hanifa added that she spotted the senator's aides outside her house three times, prompting her to report the matter at Kadzandani Police Station in Kisauni under OB number 30 of September 14, 2019.
The senator denied the claims, stating that Hanifa was only trying to force herself on him. He claimed that their affair lasted only a week and that Hanifa was now trying to force love on him six months after they parted ways.
