Malindi Pastor Arrested with Firearm Faces Charges in Court

On Monday, a Malindi-based pastor and two others will face charges in court following their arrest on Saturday in connection with alleged criminal activities in Watamu.

According to Malindi sub-county Police Commander Phillip Wambugu, the three were arrested at Timboni area after a tip-off from members of the public.

During the arrest, police recovered a firearm and several rounds of ammunition, as well as four smart phones, eight sim cards, and five identity cards belonging to suspected victims of crimes.

Wambugu assured the informers that their confidentiality would be protected, and the owners of the ID cards recovered would be contacted through the office of the registrar of persons.
