On September 1, 2019, a court order banned NTV journalists Mark Masai, Edmond Nyabola, and Emmanuel Juma from airing an investigative piece on the Child Welfare Society of Kenya.

The documentary aimed to shed light on the alleged misuse, abuse, and exploitation of children within the organization.

According to the trailer, the investigation took months to complete and was set to expose the rot at the Child Welfare Society of Kenya.

However, the court intervened, and the documentary was not allowed to be aired.

As a result, the three journalists may face detention at Industrial Area GK Prison in Nairobi if found to be in contempt of court.

Edmond Nyabola took to social media, sharing the court document and captioned it, 'I'll be in Industrial Area GK Prison in October should you need me. #sinsofsaviours.'

The post has since been deleted from his feed, but the case is set to unfold on October 1, 2019.
