CS Peter Munya has dismissed reports that President Uhuru Kenyatta had issued a directive stopping the La Mada Hotel meetings. Instead, Munya confirmed that they have intensified their meetings and devolved them to counties and sub-counties.

According to Munya, the meetings continue, and they are intensifying them. He stated that they are cascading issues of development to counties and sub-counties to know the exact situation on the ground.

On the alleged plot to assassinate Deputy President William Ruto, Munya stated that the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) had not updated them on the progress of the investigations. He also pointed out that Ruto's failure to register a formal complaint had slowed down the investigation process.

On the fake letter that was circulating on social media, Munya stated that State House Digital Strategist Dennis Itumbi was behind it. Itumbi was arrested and released on a Sh 100,000 bail.

CS Munya was speaking on September 15, 2019.
