On September 14, 2019, Zambia's Madalitso Muthiya clinched the 2019 Uganda Open Golf title at the Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort and Spa course.

Muthiya, a regular player in the Sunshine Tour, started the final round five shots ahead of the pack. Despite missing several short putts, he made an early birdie at the second hole and an eagle at the 13th to secure the title.

With a total score of nine under par 279, Muthiya beat Charamba by four shots. The winner took home Sh1.1 million, while Charamba won Sh773,000 and defending champion Dismas Indiza of Kenya received Sh322,000.

Indiza, who had bounced back to the leaderboard after his record-breaking 63 in the third round, struggled in the final round, picking up a triple bogey six at the par three-11th and a bogey soon after. He finished fourth with a total score of three under par 285.

The top five finishers were:

  • Madalitso Muthiya (Zam) - 279 (72, 66, 69, 72)
  • Tongoona Charamba (Zim) - 283 (70, 71, 70, 72)
  • Stephen Ferreira (Port) - 284 (76, 69, 68, 71)
  • Dismas Indiza (Ken) - 285 (73, 76, 63, 73)
  • Nel Andre (SA) - 286 (76, 68, 73, 69)
