Chelsea took the lead in the 31st minute when Fikayo Tomori curled the ball into the net after a short corner came out to him outside the box.
Tomori made a great run into the Wolves box before passing to Mason Mount, who was fouled, and Tammy Abraham scored in the 34th minute.
Abraham scored his second goal in the 41st minute after Willian played a cross in which Alonso set him up to nod in.
Chelsea got their fourth goal in the 55th minute when Jorginho delivered a superb pass for Abraham to get his hat-trick.
Wolves got a goal in the 69th minute when Abraham scored inside his own net in which Kepa Arrizabalaga had no option.
Patrick Cutrone scored the second goal for Wolves in the 85th minute before Mount netted Chelsea's fifth goal at the death for the Blues to win 5-2.
