Published on September 14, 2019, a video clip of a child speaking in a heavy Meru accent has taken the internet by storm, with many creating songs and parodies based on his unique accent.

The undated audio clip, which has been widely shared on social media, features a man asking the child questions, which he answers confidently with the heavy Meru accent.

Despite its popularity, the identity of the child and the location where the clip was recorded remain unknown.

Soon after the clip was shared, someone remixed the child's words into a song, which has been played on local televisions and has become a club banger.

One of the notable phrases from the clip is when the child is asked to say 'Big G imekulwa na dogi', to which he responds with 'mbinginjii imekulwa na ndogi.'

The conversation also reveals the child's school teacher's name as Mrs Muridi, instead of the correct name Mrs Murithi.

On social media, the child's accent has inspired countless parodies, with many targeting the phrase 'mbinginjii imekulwa na ndogi.'
