Manchester United Eye £80m Leicester City Midfielder James Maddison

Struggling Manchester United are reportedly ready to launch another bid worth £80 million for Leicester City midfielder James Maddison, who has been in impressive form for the Foxes.

According to reports, the Red Devils tried signing the England international during the summer transfer window but the deal failed to pull through. However, they were successful in their bid for Harry Maguire, who joined the Old Trafford side as the most expensive defender in the world in a deal around £80 million.

James Maddison has scored once in and assisted two other goals in five appearances for the Foxes so far this campaign. Last season, the attacker scored seven goals and seven assists in 36 Premier League games, bringing the attention of top EPL coaches to him.

Despite wanting to remain at the King Power Stadium to develop more with about four more seasons on his deal with the club, Maddison matches the quality of the player Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needed to add depth to his side's attack.

Apart from the Red Devils, Manchester City and Liverpool are also said to be interested in the midfielder who has been impressive for his club in recent seasons.
