On Wednesday night, popular Kikuyu benga musician Kamande wa Kioi was involved in a road accident with a Nazigi Sacco bus at Githurai, heading to Zimmerman at 10pm.
According to Kamande, the bus driver was trying to avoid a tuk tuk that had swerved into his lane, causing the collision.
The musician suffered minor injuries, including leg, hand, and head injuries, and was left conscious after the accident, only to find himself at Nairobi Women's Hospital on Thursday morning.
After recording a statement at Kiamumbi police station, Kamande has called upon his fans to pray for the state of roads in the country.
"I thank God that I'm safe. I urge Kenyans to pray for the state of roads while motorists must exercise caution while driving," he added.
