Jose Mourinho, a highly successful football manager, has spoken highly of his time at Real Madrid, describing it as his best experience in his career.
According to Mourinho, his three-year stint at Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013 was a defining period in his managerial career, during which he won La Liga in the 2011-12 season, as well as the Copa del Rey and Supercopa de Espana.
Despite failing to win the Champions League with Real Madrid, Mourinho has expressed pride in his successes against Barcelona, a team that became his fiercest rival during his time at the club.
"Real Madrid was my best experience because of what I learned as a coach, as a man, because of the lessons I took in my career and in my life," Mourinho said in an interview with Portuguese TV channel 11, as reported by Marca.
"It is the best memory of my career, it was fantastic," he added.
Mourinho's arrival at Real Madrid marked a significant shift in the club's fortunes, as he helped the team to win the league title with a record 100 points in the 2011-12 season, a feat that has been equaled by Barcelona.
As of now, Mourinho is out of work, having been sacked by Manchester United in December 2019, but his legacy as one of the best managers in club football remains intact.
