On 13 September 2019, Motherwell plugged a gap in their defence with the signing of giant Uganda Cranes defender Bevis Mugabi. The former Yeovil Town stopper has signed a deal until January to help cover for the Steelmen's injury-hit backline.
Mugabi has six caps for Uganda and came through the ranks at Southampton before moving to Yeovil two years ago. The 24-year-old centre-back is expected to provide much-needed depth to Motherwell's defence.
